The battle between Tall Shadow's Camp and Clear Sky's Camp commences. Lightning Tail and Thunder bring them back. Tom takes Turtle Tail's kits and she dies pursuing them. Finally fed up, Thunder leaves with him back to Tall Shadow's group. Thunder decides to join Clear Sky's group to be with his father. The forest is devastated by a fire, and Clear Sky's Group temporarily stay at Tall Shadow's camp. Wind and Gorse save Jagged Peak's life but Tall Shadow refuses to allow them to join the group. Turtle Tail returns to the moor and gives birth to her kits. Gray Wing instead adopts the orphaned kit and names him Thunder. One kit survives and Clear Sky refuses to accept his son. Storm is killed protecting her and Clear Sky's kits from a collapsing Twoleg den. Jagged Peak permanently injures his leg, and is exiled from Clear Sky's group. Turtle Tail leaves the group to become a kittypet with Bumble.
However, some soon move to the forest, after a decision is made by casting stones. The group arrive in the new territory and settle on the moorland. Shaded Moss is killed by a monster, and leadership of the group is passed to Tall Shadow. Jagged Peak and Gray Wing join the group, after the former attempts to follow the departed group. Led by Shaded Moss, the group follow the Sun Trail away from the mountains. Stoneteller receives a vision that prompts her to send a group of cats from the mountains to find new territory. Half Moon becomes the Tribe of Rushing Water's first Teller of the Pointed Stones, and is called Stoneteller by Jay's Wing. The Ancients come up with what will be the Tribe's hunting techniques. Jay's Wing returns, appearing from the Cave of Pointed Stones. The Ancients take up residence in the Cave of Rushing Water, sheltering from the storm. ĭuring the journey, an ice storm blows Dark Whiskers off a ledge, killing him. įurled Bracken steps down, and Stone Song becomes leader of the Ancients. The Ancient cats cast stones, voting on whether or not to leave the lake and head for the mountains. Some twolegs are in the process of building the Horseplace. Jay's Wing becomes a Sharpclaw after wandering the tunnels for two days. The rain is so severe, the only cat willing to hunt is Whispering Breeze. The tunnels flood, and he is unable to escape, drowning in the floodwaters. A blank box indicates that no cat was born and/or died at that time.įallen Leaves has his test to become a Sharpclaw.
